Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Talley has worked at both the College of Southern Maryland and at St. Mary’s College. He has served as a substitute teacher and has taught courses in psychology, public policy, social justice, and writing, and has a deep interest in St. Mary’s County history. An author and sailor, he has independently published four novels and a book of nonfiction for the parents of college students.
